What a glorious, hot, sunshine filled, cloudless, blue sky day it has been - this is how summer should be! Have a good weekend.

Another of my summertime pleasures is watering the garden in the evening when the heat of the day has subsided, a chance to clear my head and lose my thoughts in the steady flow of the water.

I have recently learnt 2 things about presenting a natural history photograph within camera club competitions; 1) The insect/animal should be 'doing something' and 2) the image should be entitled with the correct name of the subject. So would "Bee in the Hollyhocks" pass? I don't know!

Grown in and picked from my garden this morning - how chuffed am I?! Another one of those 'smells as good as they look' shots!

We had a trip to the funfair at the weekend, and I'd forgotten just how much 'fun' it is!

Oh how I wish that the beautiful fragrance of these blooms could come across the internet waves! I love the gorgeous colour and every year they give us a beautiful display in our garden. Have a good weekend.
