Whatever the season, gerbera's are always a favourite of mine.

It's been a busy few days, with all my "children asleep" 'spare' time being spent at this keyboard!

So, I have finally embraced autumn and what better way to do it than an afternoon spent in an orchard apple picking.

Sea Holly I think - I have it growing on my garden but not the same as seeing it on the beach.

Spending time doing simple things like finding unusual stones on a beach can be very theraputic.

Looking back today settings like this look simple and bare, but to the people who lived at that time it was just their normal life.

Beautiful vintage fabric displayed inside a 1950's caravan we came across on our travels at the weekend.  Reminds me of my grandmother who loved colour and patterns, I definately have that gene! 

Happy eleventh wedding anniversary to my husband, where has that time gone?!

A happy and enjoyable first day back at school for my daughter, which makes for a happy Mum!

Back to school tomorrow, it's been a good summer - lots of happy memories.

My children have shown great patience in waiting for this sunflower to open, it's been growing for weeks and today finally that long awaited pop of sunshine.

I do not have the stomach to eat much chilli. Despite their fiery heat, these glossy red pods look very tempting.
