How can the snow be so beautiful, yet cause so much chaos? I have to admit to being a big kid at heart and despite the disruption it causes - I love it!

Monday, 29 November 2010

After the weather we've had over the weekend what else could I possibly post today but this? And looking at the forecast and what's falling out of the sky now, I think this week may follow a similar theme ...

Friday, 26 November 2010

It wasn't until I started blogging and taking pictures regularly that I realised just how many interesting images there are in the most ordinary places. Enjoy the weekend and keep warm!

Thursday, 25 November 2010

They may only be cupcake cases, but to me they are quite beautiful!

Wednesday, 24 November 2010

Sugar snowflakes - I am gathering Christmas baking ingredients in earnest and cannot wait to start filling our kitchen with seasonal aromas!

Tuesday, 23 November 2010

On a dark, cold day like today, this light is very warm and welcoming... in my dreams I have a house large enough for this to fit!

Monday, 22 November 2010

If the weather forecast is to be believed, we'll be needing one of these by the end of the week!

Friday, 19 November 2010

These cute little Pudsey ears have been worn all day by our daughter in aid of the Children In Need charity, and very cute she's looked! Enjoy the weekend.

Thursday, 18 November 2010

This beautiful mahonia shrub makes a stunning splash of colour in our garden at the moment amongst all the bare branches and muddy soil, it makes me smile each time I look at it.

Wednesday, 17 November 2010

Winter colds and viruses seem to have taken hold in our family early this year, so today's post was a little wander around our home to find something pretty to photograph!

Tuesday, 16 November 2010

Unfortunately I didn't capture the frost at it's best this morning, but it was just as pretty as it began to melt away...

Monday, 15 November 2010

The holly tree in our garden stands proud and tall displaying its glowing berries. Each year I wish the birds could leave just a few clusters of little red jewels, enough for me to pick at Christmas, maybe this year my wish will come true...

Friday, 12 November 2010

I wouldn't say that sewing is a great skill of mine, however I can be quite creative with a needle and thread and our local haberdashery and fabric shop is a great source of inspiration and I can wander round looking at its stock for hours. Have a great weekend.

Thursday, 11 November 2010

It's not that I've become obsessed, but I seem to be seeking out 'pretty food' where ever I go!

Wednesday, 10 November 2010

After yesterday's post, the subject of 'pretty food' got me thinking today... and in my mind these macaroons fit the bill nicely!

Tuesday, 9 November 2010

I think that food can often be just as pretty and pleasing on the eye as any plant or flower and this melon is no exception.

Monday, 8 November 2010

A beautiful carpet of autum leaves enjoyed yesterday while out making the most of the lovely late autumn sunshine, I don't think it would look as pretty today in the dreary coldness.

Friday, 5 November 2010

In celebration of Guy Fawkes Night, here's some sparkle from our display this evening. I do love fireworks and I guess the fact we only have them once (or maybe twice!) a year makes them all the more enjoyable. Have a good weekend.

Thursday, 4 November 2010

As the days become dark earlier, I feel the need for comforting food - pie, mash and gravy definately hits the spot.

Wednesday, 3 November 2010

I always tend to think of these teasel plants as quite old fashioned, I think its because my grandmother used to have a family of clothed hedgehogs made from them in her living room! That aside they are beautiful and made a stunning display beside the water.

Tuesday, 2 November 2010

Not a very girlie picture today, but a view that I have seen alot - isn't it amazing how these small bricks can be built together to make such a strong structure?

Monday, 1 November 2010

Today there could be no other image for me to blog, as it feels like this has been my view for hours and hours! However, satisfaction at the end of the day of a room well decorated is worth it.
