Another picture taken on the 'deserted beach' visit...

As I have mentioned before I love the beach when 'out of season'. It may be cold but with a clear blue sky and nobody else around - perfect.

Here today it has rained and rained and rained, so there was nothing else for it but tea time ice cream with sprinkles to brighten the day.

I think the saying goes something like 'lots of berries on the trees means a harsh winter ahead'. If the fruits I've seen this autumns are anything to go by, I'm buying myself a new scarf and gloves just in case!

I just can't get enough of these cute little boots or the cute little person who wears them! Here's hoping for another sunny weekend...

Continuing my interest in doors and doorways, I wonder what's hidden behind this one? It rather puts me in the mind of Alice in Wonderland?!

You would be forgiven for thinking that this was taken in mid summer, but this one lone rose proudly in bloom despite what has been the first really cold day of the autumn so far, just 3 degrees centigrade at half past 8 this morning!

Pictures of blackberries tend to remind me of story books I had as a child telling the adventures of field mice and the like, isn't it incredible how some things can evoke such a memory?

Here in Norfolk yesterday was the perfect autumn day; cool, crisp and clear blue sky. The colours of the season were beautifully displayed.

I've had this twine for several months and have used it on occasion, as my thoughts turn to the festive season ahead it's inspiring me to be creative and maybe try a 'homemade Christmas'. Have a good weekend.

Even on a cold windy October day, I still love the beach.

Our garden is full of these sweet little michaelmas daisy blooms at the moment and very little else, they do hold a speacial place in my heart however as I had them in my wedding bouquet.

I make no apology for another squash picture today, especially as the day has been a little grey and these colours are lovely and golden. As the season continues there may be more...

For me when I look forward to autumn one of things I think about is beautiful squashes, I just love their different colours and shapes.

I would have liked a bright blue sky as a backdrop to this picture, but I guess in mid October the cloud cover is seasonal at least. Happy Weekend.

A windfall that escaped my crumble... I think I have acclimatised to the change of season now and feel really 'into' autumn.

Doors fascinate me, especially the different styles and decorations of older ones. Maybe its also the wonder of what's behind them...?!

Another re-discovered childhood pastime, blowing bubbles... it's great being a parent as you have an excuse to do these things again.

A little indulgence to brighten up such a rainy, gloomy day. Alas I did not create this myself, but it has given me plenty of baking inspiration! Enjoy the weekend.
