As I mentioned last week, there are lots of birthdays for us during the summer. Today is the turn of my good friend, Happy Birthday my dear!

We've been away for a few days to the Yorkshire Dales, the scenery, weather and just about everything was beautiful. You just don't get a view like this in Norfolk!

We have lots of family and friends birthdays over the summer, cue lots of celebratory barbeques and tea parties, the first of which was this weekend - the season has begun!

How lucky am I to own this stunning piece of vintage clothing?! It's a piece of my family history, sent to my Grandmother from my Grandfather when stationed in Pompeii, Italy during the Second World War. Handed down to my Mum and now to me and in turn to my daughter sometime in the future. While it's in my care I will cherish it and its story.

Pretty surroundings for afternoon tea today; Store and Cafe at Thornham. I love the decor - miss matched furniture and cushions. I always have this style in mind when decorating our home but it never seems to look quite like this.
