As I mentioned my eagerness yesterday for making the house pretty with all things Easterish, it was fuelled today when I found a batch of these little chicks in the cupboard. I have loved them since I was a child and my Nannie and Mum would always attach one to the wrapping of an Easter gift. I have always found their rather beady expressions quite endearing and it wouldn't be Easter without them!

Decorating the house for Easter comes a close second only to putting up the Christmas trimmings in my view. I have been looking forward to this week since January!

On our travels at the weekend I came across these fantastic glazed spoons in a gift shop, just couldn't resist.

Yesterday was our first trip of this year to the seaside... hopefully a warm summer to come and plenty more sandcastles can be made.
