A few quiet moments in my Mum and Dads garden at the weekend, always so beautiful... And a big Happy Birthday to my very special Dad today...x

Scavenger Hunt Art - so my daughter tells me. As constructed by her and several friends on a lovely picnic today. 

A little ray of sunshine and hope that after a long time away I might start blogging regularly again! 

Spending time doing simple things like finding unusual stones on a beach can be very theraputic.

Today just goes to prove that a five year old doesn't need electronic games and tv to be happy. My daughter wanted to make a 'nature stick', taking flowers and leaves that we found in the garden and binding them onto a stick with string - oh how I love that dear sweet girl.

Lots of snow for us here in Norfolk yesterday, I took heaps of photos and even if the snow clears in the next few days, I feel a winter themed week of posts...

A bonus of having frosty starts to the day is seeing such a beautiful sunset the night before; just stunning.  Have a great weekend.

I love the sound and sight of running water, especially when it's as beautiful and tranquil as this.

I spotted this little fellow on my plant pot, and although I don't know for sure but he looked very happy and content!

Spent an enjoyable morning with my daughter as her pre-school held an 'Easter Hatching Workshop', complete with the sweetest day old chicks! I'm not sure who was more excited the children or the adults! Have a good weekend and enjoy the sunshine.

On saturday night there was a 'Super Moon'. I was fascinated by the all the facts and information I read about the event, but when I actually saw it rise above our nearby wood it was simply a beautiful sight.

The holly tree in our garden stands proud and tall displaying its glowing berries. Each year I wish the birds could leave just a few clusters of little red jewels, enough for me to pick at Christmas, maybe this year my wish will come true...

Seeing these rain droplets hung like pearls in a cobweb this morning made me think how beautiful nature really is.

Such a pretty little chicken and so content just to peck away in the grass, I couldn't resist taking her photo!

Reflective - as today it seems to sum up my mood. Oh summer where have you gone? It's still August, please come back!

I have recently learnt 2 things about presenting a natural history photograph within camera club competitions; 1) The insect/animal should be 'doing something' and 2) the image should be entitled with the correct name of the subject. So would "Bee in the Hollyhocks" pass? I don't know!

I love sitting or standing under a tree and looking up, a view that isn't always obvious but often and especially when the sun shines through quite beautiful...

I am no wildlife photographer, I don't have the patience. But a hastily retrieved camera from my bag and point and shoot resulted in this image taken today, and I am happy with the result!

Raindrops on Ladies Mantle (Alchemilla), well actually a little over enthusiatic watering this evening by my daughter! I love the way the droplets hang jewel like on the leaves.
