A colourful Red Admiral butterfly basking in some late late summer sunshine, the warmth is set to continue over the weekend - enjoy!

A little word that is so 'big' at the moment.  Home baking seems to be everywhere and I am totally caught up in it and am a big fan of the tv series 'The Great British Bake Off'.  I have fond memories of baking with my Mum as a child and therefore have always had a love for it.  Hopefully I will pass this onto my daughters as they grow up.

I know alot of Mum's probably wouldn't agree, but I couldn't wiat for the weekend to come and my eldest daughter to be at home for 2 whole days!  We went to the funfair and made cupcakes and of course found some time to do her homework - roll on friday!!!

Homework and library books home on a friday, p.e. kit tuesday and thursday - why do I feel like I've gone back at school aswell?  I hope she enjoys her school years and makes some great friends for life, just as her mum did.  Enjoy your weekend.

I have a fondness for a stork when it comes to christening decorations. My mum had kept the one I had as a child on my cake, a vintage piece at 38 years old but unfortunately not good enough condition to use, so after much searching I found this proud looking fellow. Have a good weekend.
