Looking in shops and magazines this seasons 'on trend' colour definately seems to be coral. Not normally a shade I would go for but it is beautiful none the less.

Not sure what to write for this image today, other than I liked the sunlight on the green leeks!

My Mum's garden is a constant source of inspiration to me, and with pretty little details like these how can I fail to be inspired?

Today a belated Happy Birthday to my blog, I can't believe its been just over a year since I began! Some days the pictures come easier than others but each one I have enjoyed taking and am constantly inspired by what I see around me.

Primroses are one of my favourite springtime flowers, I always have a romantic famous five type image of collecting them from ditches followed by a picnic, maybe I was born 50 years too late! Have a good weekend.

What a pleasure today to simply be able to photograph spring blossom against a beautiful backdrop of clear blue sky...

How lovely to be able to enjoy today's warm sunshine this early in the year, I'd like to think it will last until september but I'm not quite that optimistic!

As another season is upon us, another excuse to update with a new handbag - I love being a girl!

Monday, 21 March 2011

On saturday night there was a 'Super Moon'. I was fascinated by the all the facts and information I read about the event, but when I actually saw it rise above our nearby wood it was simply a beautiful sight.

Now I feel I must stop rumaging around in my cupboards looking for colourful packaging! Enjoy your weekend.

Another offering from my store cupboard - I know you either love it or hate it - in our house we love it!

Wednesday, 16 March 2011

I was inspired by a recipe book I saw today, using ingredients from the 'Great British Store Cupboard'. I love the iconic packaging of these foods being instantly recognisable from their colours and logos. I have quite a few in my kitchen cupboards including a bottle of Camp Coffee which I will never use, but like to have it as it reminds me of my Grandmothers kitchen!

I love these Ranunculus blossoms, their densley packed soft petals are so frothy and blousy. They come in a variety of colours and to have a huge colourful display to gaze at would be heavenly.

Monday, 14 March 2011

A bit of a random picture today, as I was chopping fruit salad for lunch these caught my eye - I don't suppose every post has to have a reason or meaning?!

Friday, 11 March 2011

These soft pink forced rhubarb stalks are just waiting to be tranformed into a delicious dessert this weekend, their beautiful bright colour is just magical at this time of year and makes me yearn for the summer even more. Have a good weekend.

Thursday, 10 March 2011

I am sure this will be the first of many 'spring flower' posts. After the long dark days of winter any colourful blossoms that appear now are much admired and appreciated.

Wednesday, 9 March 2011

It's hard to believe that over winter the vibrant orange chinese lanterns I posted late September have turned into this!http://betsyclementine.blogspot.com/2010/09/these-bright-little-jewels-always-give.html#links

Tuesday, 8 March 2011

Shrove Tuesday and time for pancakes; we often have them for breakfast at weekends but I must admit to enjoying them filled with vanilla ice cream as a tea time treat!

Monday, 7 March 2011

I think tulips are rapidly turning into one of my favourite flowers. These are shop bought, but I can't wait until they start to appear in the garden.

Friday, 4 March 2011

This golden crocus opened up from tight bud today in the lovely sunshine, lets hope for more to come over the weekend...

Thursday, 3 March 2011

These little violet plants have a long history - they originated from my Great Grandad's allotment, and their roots have been divided and transplanted into the gardens of our family by the generations since. Seeing them in my garden every spring makes me smile.

Bows are everywhere and seem to be the look of the moment and I for one love them, just my kind of thing!

Tuesday, 1 March 2011

Each time I open my wardrobe I hear the clatter of beads, gems and jewels hanging on the back of the door as my necklaces 'clunk' together. I love that sound and just can't resist adding to my collection!
