Bathtime for my youngest daughter is a nightly ritual. Sometimes a happy time with lots of chuckles and sometimes if tiredness has gotten hold not so jolly; but hopefully an enjoyable end to her day and mine none the less.

Same tulips as Fridays post, but somewhat 'stylised'! Isn't it strange that years of technology has given us crystal clear and sharp photography, and now the app market is floaded with ways of making your image look as if it were taken with a roll of film in the 1970's!? I for one am loving the look, and will be experimenting in future posts!

The Campbells tower has been a King's Lynn landmark for over 50 years, and yesterday it was no more. We went to watch the demolition and however dramatic it was I couldn't help but think... quite a sad day really, all in the name of progress and redevelopment.

There is a history to this little angel, my Mum had her as a decoration when she was little, we used to have her on our tree when I was younger and now she takes pride of place on my eldest daughter's tree in her bedroom. She only has one wing and the sparkle wore off her halo a long time ago, but we love her and couldn't leave her in her box at this time of year.

I think the lights are my favourite decoration at Christmas time, they make our home feel warm and glowing. White ones are so elegant and tasteful, but I have to admit to liking coloured ones too with old fashioned petal shades!

I have a New Year's Resolution - one month early - to return to regular blogging! Today was the day to send in costumes for the reception class nativity. I'm so gald my little one was picked to be an angel, I shall have tissues at the ready for the performance next week!

A little word that is so 'big' at the moment. Home baking seems to be everywhere and I am totally caught up in it and am a big fan of the tv series 'The Great British Bake Off'. I have fond memories of baking with my Mum as a child and therefore have always had a love for it. Hopefully I will pass this onto my daughters as they grow up.

My family and I have had a bumpy year so far which has meant that we haven't all been together for many months until today... We celebrated Easter with an egg hunt for the children, made up for a lost Christmas by having crackers and a festive themed pass the parcel which had been stored and almost forgotten. We had a great day, my family mean alot to me and I thank them all for making it so special.
